Many golfers are looking for golf swing tips that will help them hit the ball more consistent, especially with the irons. With the fairway woods you have a little easier time because the wide sole enables you to make more consistent contact, but with the irons and possibly the wedges this is a whole different matter. If you are interested in hitting perfect iron shots time after time then I suggest you take note of these 3 tips.

1. The first thing that you need to do is make sure you are setup correctly to hit the shot. For most iron shots the ball should be toward the middle of your stance, and slightly further back for the shorter clubs. On the other hand, the longer irons such as the 3 and 4 iron should be played a little more toward the front of the stance. Your weight should be evenly distributed between your left and right side.

2. After you have a good setup another one of the golf swing tips to help you hit perfect iron shots will be to start the takeaway back in a one piece motion. This generally applies to all clubs, however it is vitally important with the irons to establish a good tempo in the backswing, which will lead to a smoother transition to the downswing and more solid shots.

3. The third thing that you need to do is make sure that you start your downswing by rotating your left hip toward the ball. This will bring the club down on the proper swing path and allow you to really get the most out of your golf swing. Most people hit “from the top,” which is when your hands and arms start the downswing, which produces inconsistent golf shots.

If you really want to get better then I suggest you use the same method that I did in order to drastically improve my game in just a matter of days. If you miss this, then you are really missing out!
